Here’s what we’ll do together

Therapy can help you navigate life's challenges, develop coping skills, and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships

Navigating the pregnancy & postnatal journey involves numerous aspects and complexities. This is where Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can be incredibly beneficial. CBT is a well-established and highly effective approach for treating perinatal depression and anxiety. Through CBT, you can recognize, understand, and transform your current thought patterns that contribute to your distress, paving the way for positive change. Through therapy, I provide a supportive space to address these challenges, equipping you with valuable tools and strategies to effectively manage your emotions and enhance your overall well-being.

As a therapist, I understand the importance of providing a safe space for moms and new parents to process their thoughts and feelings. Parenthood brings a multitude of emotions and challenges, and having a supportive environment to express concerns and joys is crucial. This space fosters trust and understanding between us, allowing you to feel reassured and validated. We will work together to explore your experiences without judgment, develop coping strategies, and notice your resilience as you navigate the journey of parenthood.

At the end of the day, I want you to know:

There is nothing wrong with you. In fact, you’re here, so I know that you care. You can take back control and create the life that you want to live.

What we’ll work on

Imagine a life where…

  • You understand more about your thoughts and feelings postpartum

  • You allow for yourself to learn how to cope and express emotion

  • You’re connected to yourself, your partner, and your baby

  • You know who you are outside of “Mom”

Change is possible.

FAQs

  • Great question! I have completed training through PSI, Postpartum Support International. I have completed a 2-day Components of Care training, as well as an Advanced Psychotherapy training, totaling 20 hours. I am working towards the PMH-C certification.

  • I’m so glad you asked! Yes, absolutely. It might just appear and present differently than it might in a birthing parent.

  • YES! Absolutely. If you prefer, you may bring your baby to every session, rather than lining up childcare. I would encourage you to do what feels most comfortable to you. Some parents prefer to leave their baby at home with a trusted individual, while some prefer to bring them to sessions.
