Frequently Asked Questions
Where is your office located?
I am located near Downtown Greenville! My office address is 1990 Augusta Street, Suite 400, Greenville, SC 29605.
How does therapy work?
Therapy works by creating a safe space for you to engage in healthy processing, gain education and skills, and a space for you to learn more about yourself. Most often, you get out of therapy what you put into therapy.
During our first session, we will explore more about what brings you to therapy, and what goals you have that you are wanting to work towards. It is also okay if you are not sure what those goals are! I am here to help you figure that out.
Do you offer in person or virtual sessions?
Absolutely! I offer in-person sessions at my Downtown Greenville office on Augusta St. In-person sessions can be beneficial during the therapy process as it creates a safe place that allows for exploration and processing.
I can offer virtual sessions to those located all throughout South Carolina, Florida, and Alabama!
What is the cost of therapy?
Remember, therapy is an investment in yourself. A 45-minute session is $125. During these sessions, we remain goal focused and work towards healing, processing, and exploring the heightened emotions that you may be experiencing. Longer sessions are available per request.
What is the first session like?
During that first appointment, I try to collect as much background information about you as I can, while also exploring why you reached out. It can feel like a lot of questions those first 2-3 sessions, but it is to make sure that we have a solid foundation of information moving forward into the therapy process!
How long should I go to therapy?
This answer is different for each and every client! During the first session, we will assess your needs and discuss the frequency that is needed and how it would be beneficial. Every person has unique circumstances, and there are several factors that go into how long therapy may take, such as your commitment and progress towards goals.
How do I know if we are a good fit?
The only way to for sure know is to come in for a session. We are usually able to tell if we will be a good fit between the 2nd and 3rd session. The first few sessions are more atypical, as I am gathering as much information as I can. It is so important to me to make you as comfortable as possible, while making sure we are a good fit.
Why choose therapy?
As a therapist, I have been trained to be an unbiased source in your life who is here to validate you, hear you, notice you, challenge you, and help you through your presenting concerns and challenges. It is meant to be different from having support from a spouse, friend, parent, sibling, etc, as the nature of a therapeutic relationship provides you with an unbiased and supportive space in your life.
