Insurance, and why I don’t accept it.

I am not currently contracted with any insurance networks. Insurance companies often limit the frequency and length of sessions and require a formal diagnosis early on, which may not align with your reasons for seeking therapy. Using insurance also means that your records and diagnosis become part of your medical history, which could have effects beyond your therapy. By choosing to pay privately, we have the freedom to focus on your unique needs without these restrictions. I can provide you with a superbill for potential reimbursement based on your insurance policy.

A typical session is 45 minutes, unless otherwise requested or specified. Please note that ART sessions require at least a 60 minute session. 75 minute sessions are recommended for ART.

Fees for sessions:

45 minute session is $125.

60 minute session is $145.

75 minute session is $160.

I know that the cost can seem overwhelming, but you are worth the investment.


If you are having concerns related to insurance and/or finances, I would encourage you to check into the following things:

  • Submit a superbill for possible reimbursement. You can call the number on the back of your insurance card if you are unsure about your out-of-network benefits.

  • Use a HSA/FSA fund. You can use a Health Savings account or a Flexible Spending account to pay for therapy.

  • Speak with an accountant / tax preparer to discuss out-of-pocket healthcare costs. They can help you understand if this is something that you can deduct when taxes come around.

Therapy is a commitment in many ways, from time to finances, and it’s an investment in creating the life you want to live.
